Description of Show
Chronicles of a Fallen Hero is a full length production with original music by Cleveland native and Heights graduate, Adrian Dunn. It follows the life of Obadiah King, a young African American Chicagoan and his internal struggles with family, loss, race and environment. Blending classical and popular vocals, dancers and hip hop artists (spoken word, rappers) this performance presents Obadiah's struggles, emotional angst and victory in beating the odds.  The music fuses elements of the Grand Opera and the Bel Canto style.

About the Cast
The Cast of Chronicles is comprised of 12 dynamic rappers, singers, actors, dancers and young professionals trained at diverse art institutions, conservatories, colleges and universities around the country.

Background on Hopera, Adrian Dunn, and activities at Cleveland Heights High School
"My commitment has been to expose new audiences to the classical art form of opera and provide greater visibility to urban music in the classical arts community.  Pursuing the infusion of these forms has led me to explore a new genre, which I call Hopera (hip hop opera)."
Adrian Dunn, Class of 2003

As a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School, Adrian is invested in giving back to the programs that helped shape his blossoming career.  Therefore, some of the proceeds from ticket revenue will be donated to the high school's arts program.  Additionally, HoperaWorld will hosts in-school workshops and musical training, and some of the arts students will perform in the main stage production.
